Charlie is amazing in this movie, the kind where you go, god, I wish Charlie was my dad. And it's the little things that sell it. During the 360 camera spin, they make a point to have him pause raking leaves and glance up at Bella's window to check on…
The tossing pizza transition is genuinely a cool bit of editing, but back it up and it falls apart. Who slow-throws a wet, hot slice of pizza 15 feet at someone? We'd smack that out of the air. And it leads us to the real conspiracy: everything in Forks is…
Taylor Lautner catches even more flak than Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in hindsight, and it's not fair. He's really good most of the time. The one thing he genuinely can't do is seem menacing. Full episode of Streaming Things wherever you listen. #twilight #newmoon #twilightsaga #taylorlautner #jacobblack #streamingthings #podcastclip…
Take the werewolf stuff out and Jacob and Bella's relationship is built on months of friendship, while Edward and Bella's is built on fate and her stank. We get into why New Moon almost makes us Team Jacob. Full episode of Streaming Things wherever you listen. #twilight #newmoon #twilightsaga #teamjacob…
Edward leaves, Bella falls apart, and a very ripped Jacob Black steps in to fill the void. Kit, Andy, and Steve continue the Twilight Saga marathon with New Moon, tracking Bella's spiral into depression, her new friendship with a certain motorcycle building werewolf, and a trip to Italy that introduces…
A little love for Billy Burke, who grounds the whole movie as Charlie and lands some of its only earnest laughs. The baseball scene is amazing, but we get into why a team of vampires this good would actually make for an unwatchable game. Why the Muse baseball sequence might be one of the best cinematic moments of the 21st century, from the Dutch angles to Alice's iconic pitch. Kit doesn't like Twilight ironically. He likes Twilight because it's good. This movie is extremely flawed yet endlessly rewatchable. The key to loving a movie like this is to ask, what if all the quote unquote flaws were intentional? It slaps because it slaps. Full episode of Streaming Things wherever…
Forks, Washington welcomes its newest resident, and Kit, Andy, and Steve are right there with her for the ride! This episode covers the original Twilight from cold open to credits -and it has everything! Early Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as the iconic Bella and Edward, Sparkly vampires, a terrifying…
Kit, Andy, and Steve close out their House of the Dragon Season 3 coverage with a mailbag episode dedicated entirely to the Stream Fiends. The crew dig into emails from listeners covering overall season thoughts, fan theories, lingering questions, and anything else the audience wanted to get off their chest…
The burning of Tumbleton is one of the darker moments of the season, made worse by the fact that a man does it on purpose. But leave it to us to find the joke in it. Our official, extremely stupid theory: Ulf is up there on Silverwing the whole time…
There's this scene where Roddy finally mounts the battlements and one of the little Tumbleton boys hits him in the calf with a stick. And because he's one of our favorite characters, we all thought he was going to turn, realize it's just a kid, and let it go. He…
The scene is staged so strangely it feels like a dream. Sunfyre just wanders into the great hall right as Aegon happens to be landing. We were sure Vhagar was returning, then Sunfyre appears and we figured this had to be a nightmare, especially since Aemond's been having those dreams…
This week's Mummer's Dragon was genuinely hard. Five neck-and-neck front-runners. Tommy Flanagan finally got his episode and brought so much joy, laughing his way through every situation with the freedom of a man there to die. James Norton deserves his flowers as a delectable villain full of quirks. Emma D'Arcy…
Kit likes to start a review with what his body reacted to, and the finale had him anxious, on the edge of his seat, locked in the entire time. Having read Fire and Blood three times, that reaction is a real testament to the power of the show's changes and…
Kit, Andy, and Steve saddle up for the season finale of House of the Dragon season 3 - The Treasons at Tumbleton! It's all been leading to this. Ormund's plan at Tumbleton is finally revealed. Daemon joins the Oscar Tully and Roddy the Ruin to take the fight to the…
That scene genuinely messed us up. Reservoir Dragons, that's what we're calling it. We were petrified for the dragons and the riders both, and really thought they were going to kill Syrax in that moment. What stuck with us most was Rhaenyra's instinct when things got scary being to protect…
Three seasons in and Steve has never once been off Team Rhaenyra. Team Black all the way! But when she grabbed Helaena's arm demanding a prophecy, Steve was like girl, get off her, she just wants chickens! The show has done such a good job slowly pushing you off Rhaenyra's…
Aemond doing shirtless sword practice. Then Alicent is there, and that the kiss, and the whole room loses it! And then the reveal: it's Alys. Oh thank god. Never mind. Somewhere Terrence Howard is loving this. We break down how our real-time reactions completely fell apart. Full episode of Streaming…
Sunfyre marching out through the trees like a dinosaur, missing half his face, while Aegon draws his sword. The design of the injured dragon is genuinely haunting, eyes almost melted into the back of his skull. Tom Glynn-Carney is great! What got us most was watching Aegon in real time…
Kit, Andy, and Steve are all back together for House of the Dragon season three, episode seven, the penultimate episode of the season! Andy makes his triumphant return after missing last week, and the crew wastes no time razzing him for it. This one has some of the tensest, most…
A modest proposal for the realm: Rhaenyra should bring in Alys Blackwood as Master of Too Long Didn't Read. Based on her resume she'd be great at it. The way she silenced Cole was chef's kiss. If she held the role officially, so many meetings would become emails, and Rhaenyra…
